This program introduces the core phases, roles, and applications of the intelligence cycle and can be contextualised to suit agency-specific environments such as law enforcement, defence, and regulatory bodies.

Roles and Responsibilities of Intelligence Professionals

  • Functions and expectations of intelligence officers and analysts
  • Working within multi-agency environments and understanding inter-agency tasking
  • Introduction to intelligence leadership pathways and career progression

Ethics, Legislation and Professional Standards

  • Principles of ethical intelligence practice
  • Overview of relevant legislation
  • Handling ethical dilemmas in operational environments

 Information Handling and Protective Security

  • Understanding classifications, markings, and physical security
  • Insider threat awareness and secure information sharing

Analytical Thinking and Bias Awareness

  • Introduction to structured analytical techniques (e.g. link charts, SWOT, key assumptions checks)

  • Writing clear, concise, and audience-appropriate intelligence products
