A mid-size government needed to build the capability of staff transitioning into management roles.
The agency required managers to respond and lead through disruption and change, including leading through large scale physical, economic, performance, and cultural challenges. Their workforce was geographically dispersed throughout Australia and worked in a highly regulated operational environment.
Wisdom partnered with the agency to co-design a fit for purpose solution that was flexible and designed to support the diverse nature of the workforce and its operational environment.
Wisdom used its co-design process, which incorporates UX and design thinking principles, to uncover organisational and participant needs, generate insights, examine challenges, explore solutions, and understand the culture, strategic framework, policies & procedures and workflows of the agency and how it related to the role of emerging leaders.
Participant engagement and workplace relevance were central to the solution. Run during the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning solution sought to replicate the best of the traditional “training” experience while providing opportunities for flexibility, innovation, social distancing, and enhanced health safety.
The subsequent program included the following features:
Committed organisation, willing to invest in people, want to create change, long-term partnerships, bespoke/tailored programs
