Case studies.
Each case shows the challenge, what we did, what changed and how we know. Clients are named only where they have approved it or an award body has published the program.
32,000+ platform members supported
Delivery at scale
Getting a national, dispersed workforce ready for a new platform
Fourteen train-the-trainer sessions prepared the client’s own people to support more than 32,000 platform members across more than 450 units nationwide.

The challenge A Commonwealth client was modernising a critical communications and administration platform used by a national workforce, with varying levels of digital capability and diverse language, literacy and numeracy needs.
What we did Working with a technology delivery partner, Wisdom Learning led the training workstream: training needs analysis, Training Management Plan, training, facilitator and quick reference guides, digital learning, and 14 train-the-trainer sessions across the rollout stages.
How we know Project delivery records. The evidence shows delivery at scale through the client’s own people; longer-term system use was not measured.
Before day one
Workplace application (simulated)
Preparing officers to exercise new regulatory powers lawfully
Officers used the new powers, tools and templates in realistic conditions before live use. The exercise generated recommendations to refine tools and workflows.
Read the case study
The challenge A Commonwealth regulator given new monitoring and investigation powers needed confidence that its officers could exercise them consistently and lawfully from day one.
What we did Wisdom Learning designed a workshop and a simulated inspection built around the regulator’s new tools and templates, so officers could practise the decisions they would need to make and explain.
How we know Observed in the simulation. The evidence shows rehearsal in realistic conditions, not yet changed live practice.

Developing operational leaders from within a dispersed, 24/7 workforce
The pathway gives Australian Border Force a structured way to develop leaders from within its own operational workforce, from a first leadership role to more complex operational roles.
Read the case study
The challenge Australian Border Force needed leaders who could lead effectively across airports, seaports, maritime operations, investigations and remote locations, in a 24/7 workforce of uniformed and non-uniformed staff.
What we did Wisdom Learning built a connected pathway around the decisions ABF leaders make. It begins with Readiness to Lead, which leads to the nationally recognised BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, and continues with the Operational Leadership Program.

9 of 10 measures improved
Self-reported change
Consistent analytical reasoning for integrity assessments
Participants reported improvement on nine of the ten measures evaluated (self-reported).
Read the case study
The challenge An integrity body needed its assessment officers to apply structured analytical reasoning consistently, because their judgements must withstand scrutiny and review.
What we did Wisdom Learning built the program around the organisation’s own assessment process, with officers practising structured analytical techniques on a realistic integrity case.
How we know Post-program participant evaluation (self-reported). Workplace application has not yet been measured.

How we show impact.
Not all evidence is equal. Every case study on this page is labelled with the strongest kind of evidence it has, so you can see exactly what changed and how we know.
- Organisational outcome The organisation’s results changed.
- Behaviour change How the work is done changed, and the change held.
- Demonstrated capability People were assessed against a standard and met it.
- Workplace application People did the work, and it could be observed.
- Independent recognition The program was judged by an external body.
- Self-reported change Participants reported greater confidence or ability. Always labelled as self-reported.
Levels run from strongest to weakest and are consistent with recognised evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick. Self-reported results are always labelled and never presented as stronger evidence. Claims are checked against source records before publication, such as evaluation reports, assessment records and published award results, and reviewed quarterly.
How we create impact.
Case studies show what changed. This is how we design for it to happen again.
- UnderstandWe start with your strategy, workforce, operating environment and the standard people need to meet.
- DesignLearning is built around real roles, decisions and situations, not generic content.
- PractisePeople apply skills to realistic scenarios and workplace tasks, with feedback.
- Embed and measureAssessment, reinforcement and evaluation show what changed and how we know.
Independent recognition.
Awards confirm that an external body judged a program against its criteria. They sit alongside, not instead of, evidence of capability change.
